How AI reshapes organizational effectiveness and workforce performance, at scale.
My doctoral research examines the gap between what organizations expect AI to do and what their people actually experience, and what that gap means for how work gets done inside large, complex organizations.
How AI changes organizational effectiveness and workforce performance, and why the experience on the ground so often diverges from the promise.
Most conversations about AI in the enterprise focus on capability, on what the technology can do. I'm more interested in consequence, on what actually changes for the people and the organization once these systems are in place. The most consequential variable in any transformation is rarely the technology itself.
My research examines how AI implementation reshapes organizational effectiveness and workforce performance at scale, drawing on organizational behavior, information systems, and the practical realities of leading transformation inside a large, operationally complex enterprise.
The question isn't what AI can do. It's the gap between what organizations expect it to do and what their people actually experience.
The work is deliberately cross-disciplinary, and deliberately practical. The aim is not theory for its own sake, but guidance leaders can use to adopt AI without quietly dismantling what makes their organizations perform. My first paper takes up one corner of this question, examining AI-enabled goal setting and job performance, with further studies to follow.
